THEM records proudly presents this untitled 4 track EP by the German one-man-one-computer-combo Die Blutige Hand. – the first track “Piezo Capriola” leads through several swiftly unfolding themes. Some of the raw sample material within its windings is said to be taken with a provisional piezo microphone that gave the track its name. Second track “salzig” is a slightly melancholic electronica beauty, followed by “Trans Banani”’s sweet synth & broken instrument patterns. The last track, titled with a bizarre German poem, comes up with rolling drum fills and some very dense atmospheric moments, giving the word to the lovely Natalie Merchant. All in all a very compact 20+ min ear treat of hard to classify material. An absolute must-listen!
